About Organisation
ST Bill Community Education Centre is a non-profit community day school that offers alternative basic education to students between the ages of 4 and 15 who have diverse learning challenges.
The school welcomes students from all socio-economic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, providing an inclusive environment where students can explore and develop their academic and personal potential.
We collaborate with other community-based organizations, well-wishers, local authorities, and the government to engage the community through various programs, including education, feeding programs, poverty eradication, HIV/AIDS prevention, games and sports, and the rehabilitation of children and youths.
The centre was established in the years 2008 within the Dandora slums of Nairobi, Kenya, where the majority of residents face extreme poverty.
Starting with only 2 students and 1 teacher, the centre has evolved over the past 16 years into a comprehensive educational facility that helps children and youths from diverse backgrounds pursue their aspirations.
Given the new constitutional framework in Kenya, all children have the right to education. The school was founded to provide vulnerable, orphaned, underprivileged, and disadvantaged children access to the same quality of education available to others in society, leveling the playing field and nurturing them to become well-behaved, hardworking, and productive citizens.
We are registered with the relevant authorities in the government of Kenya.

EDUCATION
We offer alternative basic education to students between the age of 4 and 15 years from poor backgrounds or vulnerable families. Our holistic education aims to help these students break out of the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential.
Education is a powerful weapon of personal development that levels the playing field for children, regardless of their background.
PSYCHO-COUNSELLING SERVICES
We provide psycho-counseling services to help students cope with psychological challenges. This enables them to focus on their studies and excel academically.
- Data suggests that maintaining good mental health is crucial for better performance outcomes.
- St. Bill Community runs sensitization programs and provides mental health services, including psychosocial support groups.
- We encourage students to participate in support groups for emotional well-being.
FEEDING PROGRAM
St. Bill serves as a feeding center, providing meals to students in need. We offer porridge at 10 AM, lunch, and a meal at 4:30 PM.
Proper nutrition is essential for brain development, and we believe that a healthy diet contributes to improved academic performance.
Due to financial difficulties faced by their families, many learners rely on these meals. We welcome food donations to support our feeding program.
